Ordering, accuracy, shipping and documentation — the questions that come up before a first order.
What is the minimum order?
Most catalogue items are quoted from one piece. Mixed orders across several families are fine and usually cheaper to ship than separate orders.
How long is the lead time?
Stock items usually ship in 3 to 5 working days; made-to-length or end-machined parts typically take 10 to 15 working days. The figure on the quotation is checked against stock at that moment, not copied from this page.
Can I order a sample first?
Yes. A single rail with carriage, or one screw with support blocks, is a normal first order.
What are the payment terms?
30% deposit to confirm, balance before shipment, by T/T, PayPal or Western Union.
Which accuracy grade do I need?
For positioning axes, the grade follows from the repeatability the machine must hold, not from a preference. Tell us the repeatability target and we will say which grade meets it — and whether a cheaper grade would too.
What is preload and does it matter?
Preload removes clearance between carriage and rail. Light preload suits smooth motion at low load; heavier preload raises stiffness but adds drag and heat. It is a trade-off, so it is quoted against the application rather than defaulted.
Can rails and screws be cut to length?
Yes, including end machining to your drawing. Send the drawing — machining tolerances on the ends matter more than the cut length itself.
Are the load ratings on the pages from the manufacturer?
Where a rating is published by the manufacturer it is shown. Where it is not, the field reads Confirm at RFQ and we obtain it before quoting.
How are long rails packed?
Cartons with plastic wrap for short lengths; wooden cases above roughly one metre. Rails are packed to avoid bending, which matters more than the outer carton looking tidy.
Which trade terms are available?
EXW, FOB and CIF. For destinations where CIF hides a costly inland leg, we will say so and quote FOB instead.
Who handles customs?
The buyer's forwarder unless agreed otherwise. HS codes and commercial invoices are issued with the shipment.
Do you have ISO 9001 or CE certificates?
Not in our own name. We are a trading company; the manufacturers we buy from vary in what they hold. Certification scope is confirmed at RFQ against the specific part and destination market.
What documents come with an order?
Commercial invoice, packing list, and — on request — a dimensional inspection report, mill material certificate, and a pre-shipment inspection video.
Send your details and we will respond within 24 hours.
